Enbrel Attorneys

Enbrel (etanercept) was on the market for just five months with reports of thirty patients treated with Enbrel developing serious infections including sepsis. As a result, on May 12, 1999 the FDA announced a new warning would be put on Enbrel. This drug was approved to relieve rheumatoid arthritis joint swelling pain, as well as other symptoms.
In 2002, Chicago researchers found more dangerous Enbrel drug side effects, linking the drug to rare lupus symptoms. The lupus side effects were suffered in Enbrel drug patients that had been using it between six weeks and 14 months. Lupus can be very severe, resulting damage such as kidney, heart, lung, or brain damage.
The FDA has issued a warning to doctors against prescribing these popular new drugs for treatment of severe rheumatoid arthritis to certain patients because of the potentially fatal infections it can cause. Of the estimated 25,000 patients who have taken Enbrel,30 developed serious infections and 6 died within weeks or a few months after beginning treatment. There are also reports of the drugs linked to cancers, and causing transverse myelitis.
If you or someone you love has suffered side effects while using these drugs, please contact our service immediately. We can help put you in touch with experienced Enbrel attorneys who can investigate your right to file suit against the manufacturer of this drug.
